VANCOUVER, June 16, 2014 /CNW/ - Village Farms International, Inc. (the "Company") (TSX: VFF) announced the outcome of the shareholder votes at the Annual Meeting of Shareholders of the Company held in Delta, British Columbia on June 16, 2014. The detailed results are as follows.
At the Meeting, there were shareholders present in person or by proxy holding 15,047,963 common shares, representing 38.9% of the Corporation's issued and outstanding common shares. The following is a summary of the votes cast by the common shareholders represented by proxy at the Meeting.
1. Appointment of Auditor
According to proxies received and a vote by a show of hands, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP was appointed auditor of the Company to hold office until the next Annual Meeting of Shareholders and the directors were authorized to fix the auditor's remuneration.
