WINNIPEG, Sept. 18, 2013 /CNW/ - Today Vita Health Products Inc. announced the voluntary recall of one lot of Encounter Junior Strength Acetaminophen Tablets 160 mg, 20 Count
The product is being recalled due to a box design error. The box is missing the following warning in English and French: "Ask a doctor of pharmacist prior to use if: you use any other medications including natural heath products, prescription drugs, salicylates or other pain and fever relief medications (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS)), you have serious kidney or liver disease."
Once Vita Health became aware of the issue, the company immediately notified Health Canada and began the recall process. To date there have been no adverse events reported concerning the products.
