Voice Mobility Restructures Operations to Capitalize on Core Technology and
Growing Movement to the Cloud
The company is well poised to take advantage of the movement in the Unified Communication and Messaging market to deliver services from the cloud or as a SaaS offering. Recent reports like the Magic Quadrant for Unified Communications as a Service,
The company will exclusively focus on its core technology, the UCN 250 which is a carrier class messaging platform designed for the hosted, managed service or large premise based deployment markets.
The UCN 250 has a seamless migration path from legacy voicemail platforms, such as Octel and Nortel, with the added benefits of many new unified communications features and functions, such as find-me follow-me, voicemail and fax to any POP / IMAP email platform.
The open platform is also designed to integrate with many existing services such as the Google Apps(R), Gmail(R), Microsoft Exchange(R), IBM(R), and other presence engines or voice recognition platforms.
The company will deliver the UCN 250 through a variety of hosting partners, value added resellers and other strategic reseller partners to be announced in the coming months.
Hosting partners benefit from adding the UCN 250 platform's robust, scalable, multi-tenant, messaging applications to their existing offerings at the lowest cost per user per month per mailbox in the market.
Large enterprise customers including as the education market, have the ability to implement the UCN 250 as a premise based or managed service solution as demonstrated by Voice Mobility's recent success in large deployments in the health care and higher education markets.
As part of the restructuring, the company will no longer market its Vmerge solution as a standalone premise based solution.
