BRAMPTON, ON, July 22, 2014 /CNW/ - Loblaw Companies Limited (Loblaw) is advising customers of a nation-wide industry recall previously announced by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA). The recall affects products from Wawona Packing Company in California, and relates to potential Listeria monocytogens contamination of certain "Sweet 2 Eat" brand fresh, whole peaches, nectarines and plums.
As noted in the CFIA recall notice, the products were sold at many retail Canadian outlets. The following products were sold in Loblaw banner stores between June 1 and July 21, 2014. All affected product has been removed from sale and in the process of restocking shelves with products sourced from other growers. No illnesses have been reported.
