Vonage Extends Home Phone Use and Savings Beyond the Front Door

Launches Extensions in Canada, Allows Customers to Extend Home Calling Rates to Mobile Phones

HOLMDEL, N.J., Nov. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - Vonage (NYSE: VG) is moving its low-cost home phone calling beyond the front door by offering Canadian customers the ability to extend their home calling rates to mobile phones through its Vonage^® Extensions™ (Extensions) service offering. Extensions is free to all Vonage customers in Canada. This service builds upon the company's history of providing exceptional value to customers through calling plans that allow them to call friends and family anytime, anywhere and now, in Canada, from any phone they choose.

Through the Extensions service, residential Canadian customers who have unlimited¹ calling plans to specific international destinations can now get unlimited¹ calling to those same destinations from their mobile phones. All other per-minute calls are charged at the same rates as their home calling plan.

A free mobile Extensions app for iPhone^® and Android™ is also available, and allows one-touch dialing from a user's existing mobile contact list. Using the Extensions app, Vonage customers can make high-quality calls via the Vonage network anywhere Wi-Fi is available, including areas with poor cellular coverage or when traveling overseas to avoid hefty cellular roaming fees. Calls can also be made over 3G/4G networks².

Vonage customers can begin using this feature by adding any Canadian phone number as an extension of their service. They can do this by logging into their online account at www.vonage.ca or by downloading the Mobile Extensions app to their smartphone via iTunes® or Google Play™. A second Extensions line is available for just $4.99 per month plus tax.
