Wahupta Ventures Inc. Astounds Markets with 2.5 Million Lbs. in Hemp Crop
VANCOUVER, Jan. 11, 2019 /CNW/ - After much anticipation, Canadian Hemp leader Wahupta Ventures Inc. released its 2018 Hemp crop numbers. In just its first year in operation, Wahupta harvested an unparalleled 975 acres of Hemp farmland and amassed an astounding 2.5 million pounds of hemp biomass.
"Entering into this market we were aware of the buzz in the media about the prospects in the cannabis sector and specifically Hemp and CBD," comments Wahupta CEO Warren Cudney. "Rather than engage in that, we chose to literally get our hands dirty and focus on proving our business model. We engaged in seed genetics R&D, we secured land partnerships throughout Canada, we invested in strategic partnerships and we made key acquisitions; we focused on building a business that delivers stability and growth in a market where this is not always the case. Our 2018 success is a reflection of that clarity in vision ."
Wahupta's work ethic hasn't stopped in 2019 however. Entering into the first month of Q1, Wahupta has already grown its land portfolio from 975 acres in 2018, to now options on over 70,000 acres, and is still in the process of on-boarding thousands more in advance of dropping seed in Q2.
"2018 allowed us the opportunity to perfect and scale our systems and processes in this rather new arena of Hemp and CBD," continues Cudney. "With the new US farming bill now in effect, we have been able to activate US partnerships that we had already been cultivating allowing us to expand exponentially into this coming plantation season."
