Walk, Stroll or Strut at the North Hill Centre Stroller-a-Thon in support of "Made by Momma" and the "Louise Dean Centre" for Teenage Mom's

CALGARY, Jan. 27, 2015 /CNW/ - On Sunday, February 15^th from 9 am to 11 am walking around the mall takes on a whole new meaning.  We are asking people to get pledges for 10,000 steps around North Hill Centre before the mall opens this Family Day long weekend.

North Hill Centre has pledge forms available and all donations from the Stroller-a-Thon will benefit "Made by Momma" and the young Mom's at the "Louise Dean Centre" in Kensington.  We also have baby bottles available to collect loose coins and the North Hill "Baby" Centre – a pop up store collecting new items for young Mom's has opened its doors.  The most needed items are:

• Gift Cards, Transit Bus Tickets, Diapers, Baby Wipes, Baby Formula, Baby Food, New Car Seats,

New Strollers, New Baby Clothes and New Toys.

"Made by Momma is a 100% volunteer run, non-profit charity who help families facing situations of adversity and crisis by providing healthy prepared meals, wholesome baked goods, baby essentials, children's items, supportive in-home visitors and other services to allow mothers the time they need to rest, recover and focus on their families and their health".

"The Louise Dean Centre is a public combined junior and senior high school in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, that teaches grades 9 through 12 and is designed exclusively for teenage mothers".
