Walmart Canada Mom of the Year Revealed at AGO on Sunday September 30

More than $100,000 Awarded to One Deserving Mom's Charity of Choice

TORONTO, Sept. 29, 2012 /CNW/ -

Who:	Eight Mom of the Year finalists from across Canada and their families, along with Walmart Canada selection committee members will join to celebrate the award at a gala evening which will include remarks by the hockey icon Hayley Wickenheiser, and a special performance by the Canadian Tenors.
What	Walmart Canada will reveal the recipient of the Mom of the Year, a new award which was launched on Mother's Day to recognize all that moms do for their families. 16,909  moms from across Canada were nominated for the award starting on Mother's Day. On Sunday night, seven of the eight finalists will receive $10,000 for their charity of choice and another $10,000 to enjoy personally. The Mom of the Year will receive $100,000 for her charity of choice as well as $10,000 for herself.
