Walmart Canada stores to open around the clock until Christmas Eve
MISSISSAUGA, ON, Dec. 7, 2012 /CNW/ - Walmart Canada today announced that it will operate 200 of its 373 stores nationwide around the clock in December. More than half of the country's Walmart stores will open their doors on December 7 and leave them open until closing time on Christmas Eve.
"Every day is a shopping day in the days leading up to Christmas whether it's in our stores or online at walmart.ca," said Jim Thompson, Walmart Canada's chief operations officer. "Our research shows that customers are waiting to complete their Christmas purchases so we expect our marathon shopping to be very well received this year."
In recent years, Walmart Canada has offered 24-hour shopping during the Christmas shopping period. For everyone from busy moms to shift workers, flexible hours, one-stop shopping and everyday low prices continue to make Walmart stores a top destination for holiday shoppers year after year.
One or more Walmart stores in the following cities will operate 24-hours-a-day from December 7 until closing time on December 24, unless otherwise noted. Customers should confirm exact locations and schedules at walmart.ca.
