MONTREAL, Aug. 21, 2012 /CNW/ -TELUS is searching for devoted community champions in Quebec; people who stand out because of their generosity, commitment to philanthropy and passion for innovation. As part of its 85th anniversary in Quebec, TELUS is launching the "TELUS Community Excellence Awards, The Top 30" in collaboration with La Presse and Le Soleil to publicly recognize volunteers and professionals from the philanthropic sector who make an important difference in their community.
"It's important to reward philanthropic leaders for their devotion and generosity. Many of them work behind the scenes to make a significant difference in their community, and these are the individuals who inspire us to support and recognize them by giving where we live," said François Gratton, Senior Vice-President, Business Markets, Eastern Canada, and Vice-President of TELUS' Community Board at TELUS. "We're inviting the whole community to help us find those who make a real difference by nominating them to be publicly recognized with a TELUS Community Excellence, The Top 30 award. It could be board members or important volunteers or professionals from local charities.''
