War Amps Champs demonstrate artificial limbs at Halifax seminar today
HALIFAX, Aug. 18, 2012 /CNW/ - Today, at 1:30 p.m. in the Commonwealth A Ballroom of The Westin Nova Scotian (1181 Hollis Street), young members of The War Amps Child Amputee (CHAMP) Program will gather for the "Amputees in Action" session to show that growing up as an amputee doesn't mean sitting on the sidelines.
In this session, Champs from across the Atlantic provinces will demonstrate the recreational limbs and devices they use for their favourite sports and activities, such as those for hockey, cycling and swimming.
