Integ Financial Consulting Inc., Warren Newcombe and Michelle Callipari are not licensed to conduct mortgage brokering business in Ontario
TORONTO, Nov. 26, 2014 /CNW/ - The Financial Services Commission of Ontario (FSCO) is warning consumers that mortgage brokerage Integ Financial Consulting Inc. is not licensed to conduct mortgage brokering business in Ontario.
Additionally, the following individuals are not licensed with FSCO:
- Warren Newcombe
- Michelle Callipari
FSCO has been notified that the company is soliciting the public on its website, www.integfinancial.com, offering "8% annual fixed rate interest, 2 or 3 year terms" and soliciting individuals in the financial services industry to "learn how to GROW YOUR WORTH IN BUSINESS" by selling syndicated mortgage investments
The following e-mail address is associated with the unlicensed entity: [email protected].
Integ Financial Consulting Inc. advertised a public information event titled "Financial Literacy: How to spot profit before it disappears!" The event was held on October 25, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 186 King St., Suite 103, London, Ontario and was available via live-stream.
Consumers should exercise caution if they are contacted by Warren Newcombe, Michelle Callipari or anyone from Integ Financial Consulting Inc, or if they attend or watch any of this company's public information events.
If consumers arrange a mortgage from a mortgage brokerage, broker or agent that is not licensed in the province, they are not protected under the Mortgage Brokerages, Lenders and Administrators Act, 2006, http://www.e-laws.gov.on.ca/html/statutes/english/elaws_statutes_90i08_e.htm which holds Ontario's mortgage brokerages, administrators, brokers and agents to specific standards.
FSCO's website contains a list of all mortgage brokerages, administrators, brokers and agents licensed to do business in Ontario as well as tips on shopping around for a mortgage.
A licensed Ontario mortgage brokerage, administrator, broker or agent can provide information and advice on the risks involved in borrowing, lending or investing for different mortgage products.
