New Facilities Turn Trash into Enough Energy to Power all the Homes in Petrolia
PETROLIA, ON, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - The town of Petrolia will usher in a new 'green' era, as Waste Management officially opens the landfill-gas-to-energy facilities at the Petrolia Landfill. After close to a year of construction, the site becomes fully functional, generating enough energy from methane gas to power 2,500 homes, or all the homes in the town of Petrolia.
