Wavefire appoints independent director

CALGARY, July 16 /CNW/ - Wavefire.com Ltd. (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. C. S. (Juneyt) Tirmandi was appointed to the Board of the Company as an independent director effective July 13, 2010. Mr. Tirmandi was also appointed as the Chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Tirmandi has over 26 years of experience in the oil and gas industry mostly as chief financial officer (CFO) of publicly owned oil and gas companies with international interests. Until July 2010 Mr. Tirmandi was the CFO of BNK Petroleum Inc. (TSX: BKX), a company engaged in shale gas exploration and production in the United States and Europe. Prior to December 2007 Mr. Tirmandi was the CFO of Bankers Petroleum Ltd. (TSX: BNK), a heavy oil producer in Albania. Mr. Tirmandi also served as CFO for TransGlobe Energy Corporation, Pacific Tiger Energy Inc., Transwest Gas Systems Inc., and Rio Alto Exploration Ltd. Mr. Tirmandi holds Chartered Accountant and Chartered Business Valuator designations.
