We did it again: Hill+Knowlton Canada is a Great Place to Work™ for 12th year running
TORONTO, April 26, 2018 /CNW/ - The surveys are in and the submissions have been graded. With only six other companies in Canada that have been named one of the country's Best Workplaces for the 12th consecutive year, Hill+Knowlton Strategies Canada (H+K) is proud to be among them. Based on feedback from tens of thousands of employees across Canada, the annual list appears today in a Globe and Mail special national report.
"Every year, we try to do more for our employees and we're thrilled that they've helped us earn another year on the prestigious Best Workplaces list," says Goldy Hyder, president and CEO of H+K. "We know that a company cannot create its own culture; its people create it and live it. Our job is simply to provide an environment that fosters it."
Hill+Knowlton Canada is also a proud recipient of the 2018 Great Place to Work Certification Program. Now in its third year, the Certification an enhancement to the Best Workplaces Program and requires organizations earn a specific Trust Index score during the submission process.
"We're working hard at H+K to build the kind of workplace where everyone matters. Where we all reach new heights. Where diversity and inclusion are cornerstones. Where ethics and integrity are everything. Working within a culture of innovation where we take risks, embrace change and evolve — all to ensure our people thrive," adds Hyder. "Beyond challenging work, we offer a full suite of first-rate benefits and incentives. Whether it's our peer-driven bonus program, robust fitness subsidy, dedicated pro bono days, or gifts of time that include extra-long weekends and a birthday vacation day, H+Kers have been the driving force behind a culture that embraces work-life balance."
Jose Tolovi Neto, the managing partner of Great Place to Work® Canada, agrees: "In an industry that is constantly evolving, communications companies require discipline and consistency to remain great workplaces for employees. Being able to celebrate its 12th year as a member of the Best Workplaces™ in Canada is a huge accomplishment for Hill+Knowlton. It continues to deliver great employee experiences and create a great corporate culture."
Best Workplaces Award criteria
The competition for "Best Workplaces in Canada" is based on two criteria: two-thirds of the total score comes from an in-depth survey completed by a minimum number of employees, along with open-ended comments about the organization; the remaining one-third of the score comes from a review of the organization's culture, including an evaluation of HR policies, procedures and benefits. This offers a rigorous representation of the organization from an employee perspective, and an overall portrait of the workplace culture. The process is an independent analysis conducted by the Great Place to Work Institute.
