We Give, You Give, They Get a Healthy Start - Back to School with the Club
des petits déjeuners du Québec and Bureau en Gros
BOUCHERVILLE, QC, Aug. 5 /CNW Telbec/ - The tradition continues. For the fourth year in a row, our good friends at Bureau en Gros are showing their commitment and support by holding a fundraising drive to benefit the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec. From August 1 to September 4, each store in the province of Quebec will offer customers the option of adding a donation to their bill whenever they make a purchase.
With the new school year about to begin, Lise Dion, spokesperson for this major Club fundraising campaign, notes the importance of giving generously: "A few extra dollars on your bill doesn't make a big difference to your wallet-but it makes all the difference in the world to the Club's children. It's amazing to see the Bureau en Gros team and their customers pulling together to ensure that all children in Quebec can enjoy a successful school year."
Rudel Caron, director, Quebec sales and operations, remarks that the partnership between Bureau en Gros and the Club des petits déjeuners du Québec is very meaningful to the whole team: "All our employees are excited and extremely proud to be able to contribute to children's academic success in this way. They're a major source of inspiration and motivation for us."
Last year, the Bureau en Gros campaign raised over $325,000. Thanks to this campaign and others like it, the Club's 3,500 volunteers welcomed 16,000 children at 274 clubs across Quebec. All of these schoolchildren were able to start the day with a smile on their face, a full stomach and a mind open to learning. What's more, each year, hundreds of the Club's children are given the opportunity to take part in fun, enriching activities. Each of these initiatives has a common goal: to foster self-esteem, respect for others and teamwork among youth.
