WealthBar Appoints Howard Atkinson to Advisory Board

VANCOUVER, Nov. 13, 2015 /CNW/ - WealthBar, Canada's only full-service online financial advisor, announced today the appointment of Howard J. Atkinson to its Board of Advisors. The appointment increases the board to five advisors, including notable entrepreneurs and industry experts John Nicola, Lance Tracey, Paul Geyer and Bernd Petak.

Atkinson brings over 25 years' experience and is seen as a long standing authority in the investment management industry. He is the former Founding Chair of the Canadian ETF Association and is credited with authoring the world's first book devoted to ETFs titled "The New Investment Frontier: A Guide to Exchange Traded Funds for Canadians." Atkinson's involvement has regarded him as a long-time consumer advocate and he was awarded the 'Top Educator' title for his efforts to foster financial literacy among Canadians in 2010 by ACTIF (Quebec's premier financial education co-operative). He is still very actively involved in the industry sitting as President of Horizon ETF's, for which he recently announced his retirement.
