Pickering-based company to launch cultivation immediately
PICKERING, ON, April 30, 2018 /CNW/ - Weed Me Inc. has been granted a license to cultivate medical cannabis pursuant to Health Canada's Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations (ACMPR).
"Canada is leading the world on cannabis cultivation and patient access," said Weed Me's Co-Founder and CEO Terry Kulaga, "receiving one of the first 104 licenses positions us perfectly for the expected growth ahead."
The license to cultivate will enable Weed Me Inc. to begin growing cannabis in their 20,000 square foot, state-of-the-art, Pickering, Ontario facility. The facility, strategically located immediately adjacent to Ontario Highway 401, is poised to take advantage of proximity to the major transportation corridor of the Greater Toronto Area as well as having direct highway access to the Quebec market. It is also ideally positioned for further expansion as the fully-owned, 3-acre facility has the capacity to grow to roughly 220,000 square feet of indoor growing.
Poised to move forward towards viable product in the most efficient fashion possible, Weed Me Co-Founder and President, Benny Presman added, "We have already secured our initial plant genetics and look forward to planting in the upcoming weeks.
