TORONTO, April 5, 2013 /CNW/ - The thermometer may not be climbing so far this spring, but this weekend's lottery jackpots are heating up, with a combined lottery jackpot pool of $76 million. Friday evening's LOTTO MAX draw will have an estimated jackpot of $40 million, and Saturday evening's LOTTO 6/49 draw will have an estimated jackpot of $36 million.
The most recent winner of a large jackpot in Ontario was a Hamilton woman who claimed $30 million in the March 2 LOTTO 6/49 draw.
Players can purchase a ticket for either game at lottery terminals across the province until 9 p.m. on Friday for LOTTO MAX and 9 p.m. on Saturday night for LOTTO 6/49.

Ontario lottery players received $1.7 billion in prizes in the 2011/12 fiscal year.
