OTTAWA, Aug. 18, 2015 /CNW/ - Canada Post will be shutting down its corporate website, canadapost.ca, and its web services and mobile app from Friday, August 21, 9:00 p.m. Eastern to Sunday August 23, 7:00 p.m. Eastern as it completes an important upgrade of its IT infrastructure.
This shutdown will impact all of Canada Post's online and retail IT systems. The website and related services will not be available for any transactions during this time, and consumers will be unable to track their packages. This large-scale effort will improve the stability, security and capacity of our platform, and is critical to our ongoing efforts to support the growing 24/7 digital expectations of our customers.
Canada Post understands that this outage will disrupt customers' ability to conduct business during that weekend, and thanks them for their patience and understanding. Customers will find updates at canadapost.ca/outage, a special page that will be available during the outage, and on Twitter at @canadapostcorp.
