MONTREAL, Nov. 17, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - The highly popular family event, the Fête des neiges de Montréal, is back at Parc Jean-Drapeau for four weekends, from January 17 to February 8, 2015. Comedian Yan England, the event`s spokesperson for the sixth consecutive year, is also returning and is delighted to have the opportunity to encourage parents and children to come and play outdoors.
A diversified program
The Fête des neiges de Montréal will be marking its 32nd anniversary this year and its program will be based around the outdoors, with a wide range of free activities and others that are at a modest cost. The activities include: tube sliding, a refrigerated skating path, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing, dog-sled and horse-drawn sleigh rides, a huge Ferris wheel with a great view of downtown Montréal, family Zip-line, ice sculptures, inflatable structures, shows and entertainment on the big stage, and a tiny tots' zone! Furthermore, this year, the Fête des neiges de Montréal will have new items in its on-site food offering.
Last year, more than 106,000 visitors participated in the event's many activities. The complete program of the Fête will be announced in December on the www.parcjeandrapeau.com website.
