Welcome back to Toronto, MadeWithLove™! Qualifiers for the National Mixology Competition are here this Tuesday, January 15th

TORONTO, Jan. 14, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Now in our fourth year of continued success around Canada, MadeWithLove™ National Mixology Competition is returning to one of it's first original cities, for what is sure to be the biggest and best year yet!

On Tuesday, January 15^th at Marché Restaurant in the Financial District, 27 of Toronto's brightest and best mixologists will compete for their spot in the main event to be held March 2013. The winners will receive an all-expense-paid trip to Cancun to showcase an all-new cocktail at Mexico Edition of MadeWithLove™, August 2013.

Of course, in true MadeWithLove™ style, we've added a twist to the ever-competitive qualifying event.  Last year's muse was a race through Marché with limited time, and a limited budget. This year, to celebrate one of the first cities where it all started, Toronto is the inspiration. What do you think of when you hear China Town? Cabbage Town? High Park? Liberty Village? Or College Street? For the "City Inspired Cocktail", we've assigned each competitor one of the five popular neighbourhoods, and a ten-minute time limit to create a cocktail that represents what their associated district means to them.

With only 14 spots in the main competition, we're sure the 27 hopefuls will be pulling out all the stops to impress judges Matt Jones; Maker's Mark Ambassador, Priya Shah; Campari America, Kevin Brauch; Food Network Canada and Dave Mitton; CPBA. The judges will sample each of the creations, and score the cocktails based on originality, presentation, and taste.

With the growing interest in Mixology worldwide, MadeWithLove™ is on the cusp of growing from 6 cities across Canada to an international undertaking, and we want you to be a part of it!
