The healthy, convenient solution for Canadians looking to simplify their summer
BURLINGTON, ON, July 17, 2017 /CNW/ - Nearly three-quarters (72%) of Canadians say they're looking for shortcuts to make their lives easier during the summer months, according to a recent survey commissioned by Wendy's® Canada. Wendy's has the perfect solution with their craveable summer salads that use fresh, quality ingredients prepared daily that are fast, fresh and convenient.
The study revealed a few other summer time-consumers that Canadians are faced with, including commuting or traffic (55%), laundry (28%), dishes (28%), and meal preparation (24%). So while Wendy's doesn't cut corners, they're helping to make Canadians' lives a little easier (and more delicious).
The latest seasonal salad to join the Wendy's roster of healthy options is the Strawberry Mango Chicken Salad, made with crisp lettuce and ripe strawberries hand-cut in-restaurant daily. The sweet taste of mango and strawberry is paired with the tangy hint of crumbled feta cheese, and added crunch of sunflower seeds.
"In Canada, Wendy's is known for serving quality salads and the new Strawberry Mango salad is the perfect, healthy choice for customers," says Lisa Deletroz, Marketing Director Wendy's® Canada. "Fresh lettuce and ripe strawberries are hand-cut in-restaurant daily – most other places simply don't take the time to do that. The sliced strawberries, sweet mangoes and freshly grilled chicken create a deliciously different flavour combination for the summer."
Available for a limited time only through the summer.

Survey Methodology
From June 21st to June 22nd, 2017 an online survey was conducted among 1,504 randomly selected Canadian adults who are Angus Reid Forum panelists. The margin of error—which measures sampling variability—is +/- 2.5%, 19 times out of 20. The results have been statistically weighted according to education, age, gender and region (and in Quebec, language) Census data to ensure a sample representative of the entire adult population of Canada. Discrepancies in or between totals are due to rounding.
