Western Coal Announces Amendment to Potential Class Action Lawsuit
VANCOUVER, June 3 /CNW/ - Western Coal Corp (TSX: WTN, WTN.WT and AIM: WTN) ("Company" or "Western") announces it has received notice that the proposed class action served in November, 2009 and referenced in its November 23, 2009 news release may be amended. The plaintiff has advised Western that he intends to claim that Western, some of its current and former directors and other parties caused Western to enter transactions between April 26, 2007 and July 13, 2009 that were oppressive. The plaintiff has not indicated any intention to claim additional damages from Western or any other parties. Western continues to believe that the proposed allegations are without merit and intends to vigorously defend them as well as the plaintiff's attempt to obtain court approval to proceed with the action.
