Closure of the nomination period for candidates
WESTMOUNT, QC, Oct. 4, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - On November 3, 2013, the electors of Westmount will be asked to elect a new council for a four-year term. The nomination period for the positions of Mayor and eight City Councillors ended at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4, 2013.
City Clerk Viviana Iturriaga Espinoza, Returning Officer for Westmount, publicly announced at City Hall on October 4 all of the candidates whose papers were accepted during the nomination period of September 20 to October 4, and declared elected by acclamation those candidates where only one nomination paper was accepted for the position.

A poll will therefore be held in districts 1, 2, 4, 5, 7 and 8. The advance poll will take place on Sunday, October 27, from noon to 8 p.m. at Victoria Hall, 4626 Sherbrooke Street West, and the municipal poll will take place on Sunday, November 3, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
