WHAT'S OPEN AND CLOSED ON LABOUR DAY AT THE CITY OF MONTRÉAL
MONTREAL, Sept. 3 /CNW Telbec/ - Several city of Montréal facilities remain open for Labour Day while, in general, municipal and borough offices, service points and Accès Montréal offices are closed on Monday, September 6, 2010.
Residents are asked to consult borough web sites, at the main city portal, www.ville.montreal.qc.ca or to call either 311 or 514 872-0311 for more information on what services are offered on the Labour Day holiday.
Garbage, recycling and bulky item collections ---------------------------------------------
Most borough pick-ups will take place according to their normal schedules, with the exception of the following:
- Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie: There will be no recycling or bulky item collections. - Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension: There will be no collection of large electrical appliances such as stoves and refrigerators. Sports and recreation centres -----------------------------
Arenas, indoor swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural centres operate on varied schedules set by their boroughs. Residents are asked to call these facilities for information.
Science centres ---------------
As a result of ongoing labour problems, the Biodôme (4777 Pierre De Coubertin Ave.) and the Insectarium (4581 Sherbrooke St. E.) remain closed indefinitely.
The Planetarium (1000 Saint-Jacques St.) is open 9:30 AM-5 PM. Information: 514 872-4530.
The Botanical Garden (4101 Sherbrooke St. E.) is open 9 AM-6 PM. Information: 514 872-1400.

Other installations -------------------
The municipal court, 775 Gosford St., and its client service counter at 303 Notre-Dame St. E. are closed.

Ecocentres ----------
All ecocentres are open for Labour Day, with the exception of Rivière-des-Prairies. The schedules are as follows:
