MONTREAL, Oct. 9, 2013 /CNW Telbec/ - Several city of Montréal facilities remain open on Thanksgiving Day, while others will have a specific schedule. Most city offices will be closed on Monday, October 14, 2013, including borough and Accès Montréal offices. Residents may visit borough websites via the main city portal at ville.montreal.qc.ca, or call either 311 or 514 872-0311 for more information.
Pick-up services: garbage, recyclables and bulky items
Collections will take place following regular schedules in all the boroughs, except for the following:
- Montréal-Nord: Regular schedules, except for green waste, which will be held on the following day, Tuesday, October 15.
- Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie: Regular schedules, except for bulky items, which is cancelled.
- Villeray-Saint-Michel-Parc-Extension: Regular schedules, except for bulky items, which is cancelled.
Ecocentres
Ecocentres will be open according to regular schedule. For more information, please visit the Environment section on the Ville de Montréal website.
Sports and cultural facilities
Schedules for arenas, swimming pools, sports centres, libraries and cultural centres will vary according to boroughs. Residents are asked to contact staff at these facilities to check on days and times of operation, or visit the web.
The Complexe sportif Claude-Robillard will be closed, except for the outdoor tennis courts. Information: 514 872-6900.
The Pointe-à-Callière Montréal Museum of Archaeology and History will be closed.
Space for Life
The Biodôme will be open according to regular schedule, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The Montréal Botanical Garden and exhibition greenhouses will be open according to regular schedule, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The Insectarium will be open according to regular schedule, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Other facilities
The Montréal municipal court at 775, rue Gosford and points of service will be closed.
Public markets will be open according to regular schedule, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Bonsecours Market at 350, rue Saint-Paul Est will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Parking
Parking meters remain operational over the holiday and no-parking signs must be obeyed.
