White Rock man charged with violating BCSC order
VANCOUVER, Dec. 24, 2018 /CNW/ - A White Rock man has been charged with violating the B.C. Securities Act for allegedly breaching an order of the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC).
Richard Gozdek made his first appearance in Abbotsford Provincial Court December 20 on the charges. The matter was adjourned to January 24, 2019 to allow him to obtain particulars of the charges.
The charges – failing to comply with a BCSC order by trading in securities, by acting in a consultative capacity in the securities market, and by engaging in investor relations activities – arise from an investigation by the BCSC's Criminal Investigations Branch.
Gozdek, who formerly lived in Abbotsford, was served a summons on December 3 to appear in court.
