VANCOUVER, June 29, 2017 /CNW/ - To showcase the influence and impact of Canadian brands in honour of Canada150, Interbrand Canada has released "The Interbrand 150: Iconic Canadian Brands Report: Our Time to Grow." White Spot was the only Western Canadian based restaurant chain to be recognized as one of the 150 companies, organizations and institutions that make us authentically Canadian.
In its report, Interbrand Canada included White Spot as an iconic brand, which has an 89-year history in Canada and the vital role that White Spot plays in Canadians' lives. From beer to banks, to sports and entertainment, and retailers to our government institutions, this report celebrates and honours all things Canadian, and considers why Canadians embrace these brands with such pride and affection.
"We are honoured to be recognized as one of Canada's 150 iconic brands" notes White Spot President Warren Erhart. "The title seems fitting, as our founder Nat Bailey helped create iconic concepts such as Canada's first drive-thru, and menu classics such as the Legendary Burger and the brand's secret Triple "O" sauce. We strive to create real life memories every day by continuing the tradition of providing delicious food in a warm, welcoming, family-friendly environment, while remaining committed to being innovators and leaders in casual dining."
"As we note a significant milestone in our country's history, we reflect on who we are, where we've come from, and what we stand for," said Carolyn Ray, Managing Director, Interbrand Canada. "But this is also an opportunity to consider the vital role that brands, and the people supporting them, play in our lives. We congratulate all the organizations noted in this report and celebrate everything they have done to build strong Canadian brands, today and into the future."
