SiriusXM selected 60 of Canada's funniest comics to take part in public auditions held over six nights in May in Toronto and Calgary. A panel of industry judges then selected three comics from each night – a total of 18 comics – to continue on in the competition as semi-finalists. A nationwide online vote determined six finalists, with two additional finalists chosen by industry judges. To view audition videos for the finalists, visit siriusxm.ca/topcomic.
Top Comic is part of SiriusXM Canada's ongoing initiatives to provide exposure to Canadian talent. Previous winners include Chris Robinson, Faisal Butt, Pete Zedlacher, Eric Andrews, Matt O'Brien and Brian Stollery.
