Wild about boxing

TORONTO, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - The much buzzed about boxing card WCP 1, hosted by Wild Card Promotion, will be coming to The Fairmont Royal York Hotel on September 4th, 2010. Wild Wing Restaurants has signed on to be the lead sponsor of this boxing match, headlined by Canadian Heavyweight Champion Neven Pajkic, which will be nationally broadcast on TSN*.

The evening's scheduled match-ups* include:

The upscale, red carpet evening will be held in the Canadian Room and has three ticket packages to choose from. A limited amount of VIP Ringside Seats are available, which include complimentary wet bar and hors d'oeuvres. Table Seating offers an extravagant 3 course dinner as well as complimentary wet bar. Standing Room tickets also include the complimentary wet bar.

Aside from boxing, the night promises to entertain with a "Ms Wild Wing 2010" bikini competition. Ten girls will compete for the title, each representing a Wild Wing flavour, such as "Blue Eyed Blonde" and "Sweet Cheeks". The contest boasts up to $5,000 in prizes.

In attendance will be special guest George Chuvalo, the previous esteemed Canadian heavyweight boxing champion who withstood 93 professional boxing fights without being knocked down. A look-a-like contest is being held on his behalf, providing the winner with a meet and greet with George himself, and complimentary tickets to the event that are approximately $800 in value.

Sponsorships and tickets to the boxing card are still available, but the excitement behind this event means they are going fast. Some of the proceeds from ticket sales will be going to the Cabbagetown Boxing Club to help amateur boxers.
