Dancers aged 10 and up can register now to attend open auditions for the Professional Division offering residency and full academic programs. Auditions and a Master Class, led by School of Alberta Ballet faculty, will be held in:

The School of Alberta Ballet is located in the centre of Calgary and is the official training institution for the Alberta Ballet Company. The Alberta Ballet is Canada's third largest dance company and employs dancers from all over the world. The School of Alberta Ballet's Professional Division offers young dancers the opportunity to develop a foundation for a career with professional dance company training under the tutelage of internationally respected dance educators including Murray and Nancy Kilgour. Murray Kilgour, The School of Alberta Ballet's Principal, is a former principal dancer and soloist with the National Ballet of Canada and the Royal Ballet in London. Nancy Kilgour, the School's Senior Pedagogue, performed with and taught at The National Ballet of Canada and the Royal Ballet in London. Ms. Kilgour's former students include Karen Kain, Veronica Tennant and Darcey Bussell. Other faculty members have trained and taught internationally and performed with prestigious ballet companies all over the world. "Our instructors are some of the best in the world and any student of ballet will only flourish under their tutelage and support," says Murray Kilgour, Principal. "Windsor has wonderful young talent that would truly benefit from attending the School of Alberta Ballet. Our dancers graduate as rising stars in ballet companies across North America and internationally."
The School of Alberta Ballet has now opened its own full-year residences so that students from across Canada and from around the world have a place to live while they study ballet. Located on the Mount Royal University campus, the new townhouse residence is across the street from our students' high school and only a few minutes drive from the School of Alberta Ballet. Students in grades 7, 8, and 9 attend our private academic school located on the School of Alberta Ballet campus.
Students in the Professional Division now have a unique opportunity to study the Alberta Education core curriculum classes from a ballet integrated perspective.
