TORONTO, Sept. 28 /CNW/ - As the Fall TV season settles in, CASTLE wrote a new chapter Monday night on CTV when it won the 10 p.m. hour over HAWAII FIVE-0 with 1.82 million viewers on CTV. CASTLE outperformed HAWAII FIVE-0 (Global/CBS, 1.7 million) by 11% in the much coveted A18-34 demo, powering itself to an overall 6% win in total viewers across Canada.
Meanwhile, DANCING WITH THE STARS danced the night away to win Monday with 2.35 million viewers on CTV, surpassing HOUSE at 8 p.m. ET (Global/FOX, 2.26 million). DANCING WITH THE STARS was also the #1 show of the day in the key Toronto market with total viewers and among young adults, A18-34.
The evening started strong when THE BIG BANG THEORY earned an amazing 1.5 million viewers - a record for the series in its 7:30 p.m. strip timeslot - ranking the show in first place for its timeslot with total viewers and in all key demos, and in third place overall for the day with A18-34.
Over on /A\, an eventful TWO AND A HALF MEN was #2 at 9 p.m. behind DANCING WITH THE STARS with 1.07 million viewers, outpacing both THE EVENT (Citytv/NBC, 1 million) and LONESTAR (Global/FOX; 482,000).
DANCING WITH THE STARS continues tonight with the Results Show at 9 p.m. ET, following the series premiere of NO ORDINARY FAMILY at 8 p.m. ET on CTV.
