TORONTO, Sept. 20 /CNW/ - The results are in. For the sixth year in a row, Canadians chose CTV's ETALK as their No.1 source for coverage of the Toronto International Film Festival, out-performing ET CANADA not only in total viewers, but all key demos as well. With the red carpets now rolled up for another year, preliminary overnight data shows that ETALK averaged 452,000 viewers during seven nights of coverage, a lead of 34% over ET CANADA (338,000) among total viewers. In Toronto, TIFF's backyard and Canada's largest television market, the lead grows to 59% for ETALK. An average of nearly 2 million viewers watched ETALK coverage in whole or in part each day of the Festival on CTV.

During the Festival, CTV.ca pages with ETALK content saw nearly 1.9 million page views, an increase of 24% from last year*.
"As always, our focus was firmly on our viewers across the country, putting all our resources on the television screen to deliver the most exclusive and comprehensive coverage anywhere," said Morley Nirenberg, Director of Production/Executive Producer. "By targeting our audience vertically through TV, online, Blackberry(R) Messenger, and Twitter updates, we leveraged our brand on multiple levels, engaging viewers on their terms."
Coverage of the Festival continues with two upcoming half-hour specials, ETALK PRESENTS: THE CAST OF CONVICTION and ETALK PRESENTS: BARNEY'S VERSION, set to premiere on CTV at a later date.
