With Music CEO at his side, Hudak Too Embarrassed to Admit He'll Kill Music Jobs

Hudak Stumbles in First Week of Campaign

MISSISSAUGA, ON, May 5, 2014 /CNW/ - Despite trying to brand himself as someone unafraid to make the "tough decisions," Tim Hudak was too afraid today to look a corporate CEO in the eyes and come clean on his plan to kill the Ontario Music Fund.

Asked five times to confirm his plan to cancel the Ontario Music Fund, Tim Hudak did everything possible to avoid answering reporters' questions about his plan to end government jobs partnerships with business.

Ending business partnerships, something Hudak calls "corporate welfare", is a cornerstone of Hudak's campaign. 

Hudak was visiting MetalWorks Studios.  Its CEO Gil Moore was a vocal supporter of the fund. 

Moore confirmed again today, with Hudak at his side, that he supports the job-creating fund:

The Hudak PCs voted against, and would cancel, a strategic partnership with the music industry when they opposed the Ontario Music Fund in Budget 2013.

The fund supports home-grown talent, music companies and other industries that support the music sector, such as festivals, events and music venues.
