MONTRÉAL, Feb. 2, 2024 /CNW/ - Abitibi-Témiscamingue resident Marc Lauzon pocketed $50,000 thanks to a Célébration ticket he got as a Christmas gift in 2022. After finding out he'd won, Lauzon had hidden his ticket in a book, intending to claim his prize later. But when it was time to do so, he couldn't find it!
After searching for several months, he finally got a hold of the biography into which he'd hidden the ticket. He only had 12 days left before the January 8, 2024, claim deadline. Fortunately, he was able to claim his prize before that date. With his windfall, the lucky winner says he plans to make investments.
The winning ticket was purchased at the Jean Coutu pharmacy on Rue Gamble Ouest in Rouyn-Noranda.
A reminder that customers can check their tickets easily at retailers and via lotoquebec.com and the Loto-Québec Lotteries app.
