With the launch of the new Taxi Diamond mobile application, Montrealers can now order, pay for and rate their ride directly via the app

Backed by TAG taxi^TM technology, Montreal's taxi leader becomes the first cab company in Canada to use technology to combat illegal passenger carriers.

MONTREAL, July 13, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - Taxi Diamond is pleased to announce the complete revamp of its mobile application. Passengers who order a cab using their smartphone will now enjoy a number of new features, such as mobile payment and the ability to rate the quality of service received. This investment in new technology is one of the measures announced by Taxi Diamond in November 2014 to improve its services and reinforce its commitment to help Montrealers get around the city more easily.

How Montrealers cab it
TAG taxi^TM is making its technology and mobile expertise available to cab companies and in doing so is putting the user at the centre of the taxi experience. Redesigned and optimized, the new app version notably offers:

• a choice of payment methods, including the possibility of paying via the app;
• geolocation that's more accurate than ever;
• the chance to rate the ride (vehicle cleanliness, driver courtesy and driving capabilities);
• the accumulation of AIR MILES^® reward Miles via the mobile app;
• the possibility of reserving a cab in advance.

Finally, as a sponsor of the AIR MILES^® program, Taxi Diamond is enabling users to earn 25 AIR MILES^® reward Miles for their first ride ordered via the app, then 1 AIR MILES^® reward Mile for every 10 km travelled.
