Midwives highlight opportunities for supporting the growth of midwifery
TORONTO, April 27, 2012 /CNW/ - The rapid expansion of midwifery has brought Ontario to a turning point in maternal and newborn care. This brings with it opportunities for innovative and bold improvements that could lead to a strong, coordinated system of maternal and newborn care. Midwives are seeking solutions to improve hospital integration, erase infrastructure deficits and overcome the wage parity gap between midwives and comparable professions.
