Wood WORKS! Alberta Unique Design Seminar Announced: Three new sessions on architectural innovation in their Calgary debut

CALGARY, Nov. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - Wood WORKS! is honoured to bring a new seminar to the Alberta design community on November 26, 2015. This event features three inspiring presenters with sessions on the future of designing with wood.

We will be joined by inspirational designers Lucas Epp of StructureCraft, Michael Marshall of Macdonald and Lawrence Timber Framing and Marina Trifkovic of ARTEC Architects from Norway.

Speaker highlight:

We are delighted to have Marina Trifkovic of Norway's ARTEC return to Alberta. Marina's presentation on the tallest timber building in the world received rave reviews at the Wood Solutions Fair in Edmonton earlier this year.

How the TREET project leads the way in wood design:

• It is an example of high density urban housing built with environmentally friendly materials
• It uses prefabrication to speed up construction time and costs
• TREET pushes the limits of products already on the market

The Treet project in Norway is the current pulse in the renaissance of wood design; learn about the process of designing and completing 14 storeys in wood from the architect instrumental in its creation.
