World's Largest Car Rental Company To Recruit for New Jobs in Bathurst, Miramichi, Fredericton and Moncton Français
Kenny: "Government collaborating with employers like Enterprise to strengthen our economy"
BATHURST, NB, June 24, 2015 /CNW/ - Enterprise Holdings, the largest car rental company in the world, today announced a partnership with the New Brunswick Government aimed at creating between 50-100 jobs in the province. The announcement was made today at the Enterprise branch office in Bathurst.
Enterprise Holdings, which owns and operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car brand, is recruiting for full-time Contact Centre roles in Bathurst, Miramichi, Fredericton and Moncton. These jobs are part of the new Enterprise Rent-A-Car Call Assistance Program, or CAP. First introduced in the United States, the program features Contact Centre employees who work from home using Enterprise-patented software. CAP employees receive three weeks of paid training, at which point they become full-time customer service representatives for the company.
"Job Creation A Priority"
"Our government has made job creation a priority. Today's announcement underscores how the government is collaborating with employers like Enterprise to strengthen our economy and ensure more employment opportunities here at home," said Environment and Local Government Minister Brian Kenny. "We're pleased that our skilled labour force, coupled with our government's plan for economic growth and fiscal responsibility has created the business climate to attract this growing international company."
Enterprise Holdings frequently works with provincial governments across Canada on a variety of issues to improve the automobile rental industry for both consumers and the industry. In this instance, the New Brunswick Government's focus on job creation will help facilitate the CAP program. Enterprise Holdings is relying on the government for strategic counsel and expertise in launching this mutually beneficial endeavour.
"CAP allows us to divert calls looking for basic information, like rates or vehicle availability, to Contact Centre employees so that employees at our branch offices can focus on the customers in front of them," said Paul Evon, Vice President and General Manager of Enterprise Holdings in Atlantic Canada. "We are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this project to New Brunswick. By tapping into the province's talented bilingual workforce, we can ensure that our Canadian customers receive top-quality customer service each and every time we interact."
Residents of Bathurst, Miramichi, Fredericton and Moncton will be able to access job postings from the company's careers website, http://www.go.enterpriseholdings.com/canada/. These full-time Contact Centre Representatives will be tasked with handling inbound calls from Enterprise rental branches across Canada and the United States, assisting customers with reservations, rates and availability information in both English and French. The company is looking to fill between 50 and 100 CAP positions by late summer, 2015. The job postings also are open to residents of Ottawa.
Enterprise Holdings also operates the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Management Training and Management Internship programs throughout Canada. Management Trainees receive a hands-on experience that teaches them how to run a business, empower teams and provide excellent face-to-face customer service. Other hallmarks of the program include extensive training in a wide range of business skills, including profit and loss management, business-to-business marketing and sales, and logistics.
Enterprise Holdings' promote-from-within culture is a major driver behind its need to recruit thousands of new employees annually. Last year alone, more than 11,000 individuals were promoted or took on new challenges in various positions throughout the company worldwide, contributing to new opportunities for recently hired management trainees and a need to add even more.
