MONTREAL, Oct. 7, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - The Quebec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) launches its annual convention today, bringing together the many actors who contribute to the development of the mining industry in Quebec. On the 7th and 8th of October, over 1500 visitors and representatives will be present at Place Bonaventure to take part in Xplor, making it one of the largest conventions of its kind in Quebec. The Association will also promote the fact that for 40 years, it has defended the interests of its members and the industry as a whole.
This year, Xplor is expressly encouraging investors to attend. Valérie Fillion, executive director of the QMEA, stresses that networking between mining sector companies and potential investors is crucial. "This year we're opening the doors of Xplor to investors. And so we're honoured that Louis Vachon, president and chief executive officer of National Bank, has accepted to function as Honorary President. Through this collaboration, the Association is sending a clear message to investors. They will be welcomed warmly on the floor of the convention centre on Thursday, October 8th."
