An opening marked on financial markets
ROUYN-NORANDA, QC, July 14, 2015 /CNW Telbec/ - As part of its annual conference taking place October 7 and 8, the Québec Mineral Exploration Association (QMEA) is pleased to announce that the second edition in Montreal will take place under the honorary presidency of Mr. Louis Vachon, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Bank. Again this year, the event will bring together key stakeholders in the development of Québec's mineral industry sector, including investors, contractors, prospectors, geologists and service providers.
For his part, Mr. Vachon recognizes the mineral sector's important contribution. "We are glad to actively take part in this event, which aims to stimulate Québec entrepreneurship and highlights the importance of the mining industry to the economic development of Québec. Also, it will be a great occasion to showcase the excellence of our companies and their international reputation."
For QMEA Chairman of the Board, Frank Mariage, this collaboration with the National Bank of Canada demonstrates the Association's willingness to increase the attractiveness of Xplor to investors and the financial community. "It is an honour to have Mr. Vachon as honorary president to send a clear message to investors and the financial community as to the importance of their contribution to our industry," said Mr. Mariage.
In addition to high-level presentations and workshops, this year the Association is innovating by introducing The Xplor Investors' Rendez-vous, an exclusive activity between exploration companies and investors. Also, as part of its programming appealing to the mineral industry as a whole, it is worth mentioning that Mr. Vachon will speak at a luncheon on Wednesday, October 7 and Mr. Robert Sauvé, President and CEO of Société du Plan Nord, will speak at the dinner on October 8.
