TSX-V:YL
VANCOUVER, March 24 /CNW/ - Yalian Steel Corporation (TSX-V: YL) ("Yalian" or the "Company") today announced that its wholly owned subsidiary, Yangzhou Yalian Steel Pipe Co., Ltd received an A1 Grade Manufacturing License (the "License") from the State General Administration of the People's Republic of China for Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine. The "A1 Grade" is the highest production license available and permits Yalian to produce Longitudinally Submerged Arc Welded ("LSAW") pipes for all grades of steel from its recently completed large diameter steel pipe mill in China.
"Obtaining our local production approvals from the State General Administration is the last step in our local certification process and indicates that the facility is in full compliance with all requirements, regulations and quality control procedures mandated by the government in China," stated Murray G. Flanigan, Chief Financial Officer of Yalian. "The License, combined with our American Petroleum Institute certification, allows Yalian to ramp up its sales, manufacturing and distribution capabilities to service the steel pipe market in China as well as other large scale pipeline projects abroad."
The Company recently announced it had also received approval for certification and license registration of "5L X-70 Grade" from the American Petroleum Institute (API) and is presently applying for additional certification of up to X -100 for its high grade steel large diameter pipe mill.
