The Finca Victoria Farm Will Provide Lime and Grapefruit Essential Oil to Young Living
LEHI, Utah, Dec. 20, 2018 /CNW/ -- Young Living Essential Oils, the world leader in essential oils, announced today that the Finca Victoria Farm in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico will become the company's newest partner farm. The Finca Victoria Farm will provide Young Living with Lime and Grapefruit essential oils, and its zero-waste status aligns with one of Young Living's 5×5 Pledge goals of bringing all global operations to zero-waste status by 2024.
The Finca Victoria Farm harvests and distills limes and grapefruits on more than 2,400 acres of farmland, and is also home to a facility that will cold-press the fresh lime and grapefruit rinds to produce essential oils of the highest quality.
Young Living, the only essential oils company to have its own farms, has set the industry standard by sourcing 100 percent of its oils from its corporate farms, partner farms and Seed to Seal®-certified suppliers. Young Living has complete visibility of the production into its oils from seeding and cultivating to harvesting and distilling.
"Wherever Young Living puts down roots, it's important that we're partnered with companies that share our commitments to community, the environment and the best nature has to offer," said Lauren Walker, Chief Supply Chain Officer, Young Living Essential Oils. "We're delighted that our third partner farm in North America has nearly 20 years of farming experience and is Global Good Agricultural Practice (GAP) certified. Just like Young Living, they are dedicated to sustainable growing practices, socially conscious principles and producing essential oils of the highest quality."
The Finca Victoria farm boasts 50 orchards that are carefully cultivated, and all weeding is done by hand. Non-GMO seeds are used to grow the lime and grapefruits, and the citrus crops are nourished from a water source that meets the global standards for water quality and contains zero contamination.
To help achieve these rigorous standards, the Finca Victoria Farm has an on-site laboratory used to test fruit yield and optimal production dates. Prime production time for limes is June through August and for grapefruits, October through December.
All aspects of the Finca Victoria farm's farming process – from planting to distillation – are monitored and maintained in partnership through quality control practices and testing. An independent audit also ensures that all essential oils produced meet Young Living's strict Seed to Seal quality commitment.
As the world leader in essential oils and a renowned essential oils distiller, Young Living is continually improving its farms and global partnerships while staying true to the Seed to Seal quality commitment. Young Living is dedicated to creating pure, high-quality essential oils and products through environmentally conscious methods.
