Youth Media Industry Celebrates TFO Français

TORONTO, May 29, 2014 /CNW/ - TFO and its production partners won a record number of awards at the Prix d'excellence of the Youth Media Alliance (YMA), held May 27. Of the roughly 15 awards handed out, six (6) were won by TFO. Groupe Média TFO's educational contents, and in particular the contribution of Annick Snell, Director of Coproductions and Acquisitions, Children's and Youth Programming, were lauded by the industry, that was thoroughly charmed by TFO's digital and television contents.
Children have always been at the heart of it all for Annick Snell, winner of the Outstanding Achievement Award. She has proven her flair for successful multi-platform projects as well as her commitment to developing quality productions. Throughout her career, she has worked on many high-calibre productions, such as Motel Monstre, Les jumelles, Miam!, Au défi and Là est la question!, as well as numerous others. Her acquisitions reflect the same dedication to quality, with series like Mouk, Sid le petit scientifique and Le petit royaume de Ben et Holly, programs that stimulate the quick and lively minds of the target audience.
"Our vision, when it comes to programming, is based on the educational quality of our Children's and Youth contents, their variety and the diversity of the type of programs that we offer our young audience. We support our audience as it grows and develop a relationship of trust with their parents so they can navigate through intelligent, entertaining, and multi-platform programming," explained Annick Snell, Director of Coproductions and Acquisitions, Children's and Youth Programming, Groupe Média TFO.
"I'm very happy, but mostly proud, to see that the Youth Media Alliance has awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award to Annick Snell. Over the last 15 years, I've been lucky enough to develop a close collaborative relationship with Annick, who has always shown a flair for youth programming that is as innovative as it is relevant," stated Marie-Pierre Gariepy, Producer, Slalom Productions.
