YouTube Contest Gives Voice to Students and Staff in Ontario Schools
TORONTO, May 10, 2013 /CNW/ - Schools across Ontario got involved in a unique contest housed on YouTube and sponsored by the Ontario Catholic School Trustees' Association (OCSTA). The Association for Ontario's publicly funded Catholic school boards invited students to capture in a video, no longer than 2-minutes, their perspectives on what it means to be educated in the province's Catholic schools.
The contest is part of OCSTA's focus on profiling the distinctive aspects of Catholic education and the contribution that Catholic schools make to the vibrancy and success of the province's education system.
After receiving dozens of video entries from across Ontario, OCSTA selected 6 winning videos that range greatly in style and presentation. First, second and third place awards were selected for both the elementary and secondary levels.
