TORONTO, Nov. 30 /CNW/ - YWCA Toronto is thrilled to announce that CEO, Heather McGregor, was named one of the Women's Executive Network's "Top 100" women last night.
Ms. McGregor's work as an innovative trailblazer in the non-profit sector was recognized.
"Heather is a bold and innovative leader who has fostered new approaches to women's social services," says Dr. Kristin Blakely-Kozman, president of the YWCA Toronto Board of Directors. "One of the results of Heather's exemplary leadership is the development of the YWCA Elm Centre. This exciting $80 million development project in the heart of downtown Toronto will provide women and their families 300 new affordable and supportive apartments for low-income women and their families, for women living with mental health and addiction issues and for families of Aboriginal ancestry."
"Heather's work is helping build a stronger and more inclusive Toronto for all," says Blakely-Kozman. "We are very proud."
