The Montreal Sexual Assault Centre (MSAC), founded in 1980, is a safe, non-judgmental listening space where anyone who has been affected by sexual violence will be welcomed, heard, believed, supported and fully respected in their choices. The MSAC is a designated centre that provides medico-social services and clinical follow-up for victims of sexual assault. The organization also supports victims in all regions of Québec through its two provincial services : 1) the Sexual Violence Helpline (1-888-933-9007, sexualviolencehelpline.ca), an anonymous, confidential helpline available 24/7 offering support and information to anyone affected by sexual assault, sexual harassment, sexual exploitation or sexual cyberviolence—victims, their loved ones and the workers who help them; and 2) the Support Service for Designated Centres Providing Medico-social Services for Sexual Assault Victims (en.serviceconseilqc.ca), which provides clinical and organizational support and training tools for all medical-social teams across the province.
