Hon. Michael H. Tulloch delivers report and recommendations on police oversight bodies to Government of Ontario Français
TORONTO, March 31, 2017 /CNW/ - The Honourable Justice Michael H. Tulloch today delivered to the Attorney General his report on reviewing Ontario's three bodies that oversee policing in the Province as well as his recommendations on how to enhance their transparency and accountability.
The three bodies are the Special Investigations Unit (SIU), the Office of the Independent Police Review Director (OIPRD) and the Ontario Civilian Police Commission (OCPC).
The report will be released to the public on April 6, 2017.
Time: 1:30 p.m.
Justice Tulloch will present his recommendations followed by a statement by Attorney General Yasir Naqvi. Attorney General Naqvi and Independent Police Oversight Review counsel will be available to media following the press conference.

About the Independent Police Oversight Review
Justice Tulloch was appointed to lead the Review on April 29, 2016 and was asked to deliver his report and recommendations no later than March 31, 2017.
In over seven months, he met with more than 1,500 individuals, held 17 public consultations and held more than 130 private meetings. The consultations were held throughout the province.
