The winning ticket for the draw of December 7, 2013, was purchased in Montréal
MONTREAL, Jan. 22, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Loto-Québec is calling the public's attention to the fact that the $1 million Extra grand prize for the December 7, 2013 draw is still unclaimed. The winning number for that draw is 9409581. The ticket with Extra was purchased in Montréal's Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough. For security reasons, Loto-Québec's operations policy does not allow the disclosure of the exact point of sale.
Loto-Québec would like to remind the ticket holder that he or she has one year to claim the prize to its office in Montréal or Québec City, by 4:30 p.m. on December 8, 2014.
Helping jackpot winners claim their prizes before the deadline is important to Loto-Québec. For this reason, we implemented a procedure for draw lotteries in order to systematically inform lottery ticket buyers when a prize of $1,000,000 or more has not been collected. Therefore, one month after a draw where such a prize remains unclaimed, Loto-Québec issues a first press release indicating the name of the product, the value of the prize, the date of the draw and the region where the winning ticket was purchased.
In addition, a page listing unclaimed prizes worth $1,000,000 or more following a first press release is displayed at Loto-Québec lottery site. This page may be viewed at any time and facilitates consumer follow-up on these prizes.
Other press releases will be issued as needed before the claim deadline. A total of 98% of large prizes are usually claimed within four weeks.
